Review : Missha Red Ginseng Sheet Mask

Hi Girls~ I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but I am an avid mask user. I wear (or apply) masks probably 5-6 days a week at night and I strongly believe that it makes a huge difference to the skin. Whether if it's a sheet or a cream, I really do love them all. That being said, I was thinking of doing some reviews on the masks I recently tried out. What do you think? Do you like masks? Or are you not interested at all? Let me know in the comments :).
Anyways, enough rambling and let's get started with the review already!

How to Use ? Wash face -> apply mask -> leave it for 15-20 mins -> remove -> lightly pat the leftovers so the essence will be fully absorbed
Scent ? Smells like red ginseng. I'll say that it's not for everyone, but some people like it.
Design ? This is not your normal flat sheet mask. When you unfold it, it becomes to this 3 dimensional object haha (contoured to fit the curves of the face like a real mask). At first I thought it was a genius idea, but it turns out that it's "too 3D" for my flat Asian face. Doesn't fit at all and it's very uncomfortable.
Ingredients ? Water, glycerin, butylene glycol, carbomer, PEG-60 hydrogenated caster oil, hydroxyethylcellulose, triethanolamine, allantoin, red ginseng extract, aloe barbadesis leaf extract, sodium hylauronate, phenoxyethanol, disodium EDTA, methylparaben, 1,2-hexane dial, caprylyl glycol, illicium velum (anise) fruit extract, fragrance (parfum). Bunch of stuff that I don't know :/.
Pros ?
- Contains 350 mg of Korean red ginseng extract
- Affordable / Free at times
- Not tested on animals
Cons?
- Poor design
- somewhat stiff (so you can't manipulate it according to your face shape)
- Hydrating, but didn't see any improvements on my skin
- dries out very quickly (you literally have to get rid of the mask after 15 mins)
Value ? $2-$4. I got mine for free as a sample.
Overall Rating ? 1/5.
Repurchase ? No. This mask is hydrating, but that's really it. For the same price I think you can get better ones. Sorry Missha!
That's how the mask looks like!! - Pic #2

*YAY* Lush Goodies ♥

I was feeling a bit down today, so I went to Lush - As you can see in the photos, I went a little cray cray than normal, but it definitely helped on lifting up my mood :). Let's take a look at what I got!

1. Back For Breakfast Shower Gel : As I walked in to the store this shower gel immediately grabbed my attention, because they had the retro packaging and all. I never used a retro product from Lush before (surprisingly!), so I'm really excited try it out :). The shower gel itself has that candy/ citrusy kind of scent that I love.
2. Jasmin & Henna Fluff Eaze : I needed a new hair mask for my ever-so-dry hair and this one looked  the most interesting. Like most Lush hair masks, this product has that very strong unpleasant scent, too, but I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. I have a review of the H'suan Wen Hua hair mask here.
3. Ro's Argan Body Conditioner : I first saw this body conditioner on Linds1986's video or something and I tried it out in the store and it seriously smelled so good I had to have it. It smells like straight up roses! Now how can you say no to that. Anyway, I think it was quite pricey and all, so I hope it works well.
4. Grass Shower Gel : I love the color of this shower gel! It's so green and weird?!! Anyway, my lush girl said that the shower gel goes well with Ro's Argan, so I'm going to try that out.
5. Love Lettuce : ... and another face mask... you know I love these little guys. I'm not going into how great they are, because I think I already have 2 or 3 posts on them lol.
6. Samples - Curly Wurly Shampoo, Retread Conditioner

That's all for my lush haul
Hope you're having a fantastic Sunday!
Enjoy every bit of it and talk to you soon
xx

P.S. Will post a birthday haul soon!

New In : Real Techniques, Benefit, and More

Hi Girls! I felt like I've been really good with my makeup ban (didn't buy any for 2 full months!), so I thought I would reward myself a little bit haha... T^T... Here are the stuff that I've accumulated over the past week or so, hope you like it :).
Real Techniques Blush Brush
I heard so many good things about this blush brush over the internet, so I thought I would give it a try. Blush brushes are my favorite after all. The brush itself is kind of bigger than I thought, but it looks pretty and the bristles are super soft.
Deborah Lippmann Rehydrating Base Coat
As much as I love nail polish, they ruin my weak nails, so I thought it was time to invest in a good base coat. I read Sabrina's post on her favorite base & top coats on The Beauty Look Book and thought this base coat would be a good match for me. I already used it for a couple of times and think it really does help.
Benefit Dandelion
This is a repurchase. I loved my previous one with the old packaging, but I had it for quite a while (almost 5 years...) and it started to smell funny, so it had to go. It's a lovely mauve-y pink that suits my skin tone very well.
Benefit They're Real! (Sample size)
I've been wanting to try this mascara since it came out, but I had so many tubes to finish beforehand, so I never purchased it. Then, I saw this cute sample sized tube at Sephora, so I picked it up :). Was only $10!
YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain #7
A makeup artist at Sephora sucked me into buying this horrendously priced lip product, and I'm so glad she did :). This instantly became one of my all time favorite lip products and I personally think it is worth every penny. Will do a more in-depth review in the near future!
Philosophy Purity Face Cleanser (Sample size) - 100 point perk
I'm really excited to try this cleanser, because I know it's a favorite among many beauty bloggers. The scent is very pleasant and all, so I hope it works for me as well.
Kiehl's Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion
This is a repurchase and I have a short review here. My skin has been acting up a bit, so I needed another bottle :/.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - Night Calming
I always had the original (blue packaging) one in the past and loved it, but I wanted to spice it up a bit and try a different version.

Have you tried any of these products? - Let me know what you think and have a great week!
xx

Products I'm Trying to Use Up

I'm currently trying to use up more of my makeup and buy less. I'm starting with 5 products, since I'm not very good at this kind of stuff - Trust me, I tried Project 10 Pan like a million times and have not succeeded once. It seems like it takes a while for me to use up a product even tho I use it everyday...
So What's on my "Use Up" List :

O HUI Cell Power No.1 Essence : Right now I have way too many skin care products, so I'm trying to use up the things that I've had for a while. I have 1/4 left, so it won't be too hard to finish. review here.
Skin Food Fresh Juice C Serum : Like I said, way too many skin care products - especially these kind of serum type thingies... This serum works great, but I want to finish it, because I'm not very keen about the scent - It's definitely citrusy at first (which I like), but ends up smelling like a men's cologne for some reason. Half left.
Missha Perfect BB Cream #21 : I honestly despise this BB Cream, because it makes my face so greasy during the day. I mix it with other BB creams to make it work. Roughly about half left.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 : I LOVE this lip balm and will repurchase it. It's just that I had it for a while and it's kinda grossing me out. 3mm left! - almost done :)
Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in #12 : The cap broke on me, so I guess I have to use it up while it lasts. Right now I don't know how much there's left since it's slowly drying out. Wish MUFE had more sturdy packaging :/. swatch here.

What's on your "Use Up" list? I'd love to hear from you in the comments! :)

What's in My Shower

Hi Everyone, long time no blog..! Yes, I am a terrible blogger right now and I am fully aware...T^T. I'm sososososo sorrry. Anyway, I'm back and I thought I would do a 'what's in my shower' post for those who are nosey like me. I don't have anything fancy here, just the usual things, but here it is anyways. Hope you enjoy :).

HAIR
Pantene Ice Shine Shampoo : I've been using this shampoo for like 2 weeks now and I would say it's not the best shampoo in the world, but it works. Smells pleasant and doesn't dry out. 3/5
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Moisturizing Conditioner : This is a really nice conditioner, but I wouldn't repurchase it, because I don't see this product doing magical things with 'color' like it says. The scent is kinda too strong for my taste as well. 3/5

BODY
Victoria's Secret Bombshell Body Wash : If you have been reading my blog, you know I love the scent of the 'Bombshell' line. It's not as amazing as the body spray, but it still smells delicious and makes me happy. The only down side is the price tag - think it was almost $30. 3.5/5
Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel : This grapefruit scented body wash is just AMAZING. It's very refreshing and feels great in hot showers. 5/5
St. Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash (travel size) : I really love this body wash, because it's very moisturizing. Leaves my skin so soft and healthy :). 5/5
Lush Buffy Body Butter : This is the most recent addition to my shower shelf and I love this thing so much. It's like a scrub and a body butter all in one and it smells like flowers. I'm giving four stars just because I feel like it's a bit messy. 4/5

FACE
Lancome Mousse Radiance Cleanser : Love this mousse type cleanser, it feels luxurious on the skin and cleanses very -very- well. My bf loves it, too. 5/5
SkinCeuticals Micro-Exfoliating Scrub : I use this guy every other day and it works great! The beads are very very small, hence the name, and they gently exfoliate the skin. It doesn't have a particular scent so I think it'll be great for people who have sensitive skin. 5/5

And that's it! I forgot to take a picture of my Venus razor and shower puff, but I'm sure you know how they look like.
What do you have in your shower? Any recommendations?

Haul : Sephora VIB and Masks!

Hi Lovlies~ My Sephora VIB package arrived yesterday, so I thought I would show it to you guys. This time, I didn't get too many things for myself, because the holiday season is coming... and I thought I would be a good girl and *actually* get things for my friends and family haha... Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Katie
CLEAN Miniature Trio
Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel
SOPI Traffic Stopper Copper Top Coat
SOPI Glimmer Wonderland Six Piece Mini Nail Color Set
As you can see, I'm really into nail polish (especially metallic and glittery ones) lately...
Here's a sneak peek of what I'm wearing. Excuse the cuticles and ugly application - I'm just too lazy.
Mini Daisy Eau So Fresh - 100 point perk!
Isn't this adorable? *^_^*

That's all for my Sephora VIB Sale purchase. The other stuff are for friends and family so I thought there's really no point showing to you. Anyway, I went to the Japanese grocery store the other day and got these masks.
My Beauty Diary Facial Mask - Black Pearl (10pk)
I already tried them on and I found that they are very similar to Etude House's Moistfull Collagen Mask which is a plus!
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

Haul Time! Sephora F&F, MAC, and More

Hi Everyone!
Sorry for posting my Sephora F&F haul sooooo late! I've been meaning to post this haul on Monday, but I got distracted or something. Anyways, here are the stuff that I got, I ended up getting different things from my list (as usual) except for the POWda WOWza palette and the Too Faced bronzer. I also picked up a few things from MAC and the drug store, so I added them in my haul, too. Hope you enjoy :).

Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate : I basically purchased this because I've tried their 7 day sample pack and really liked it. Believe it or not, Lancome claims that they did 10 years of research, so it has to be good, right?
Benefit POWda WOWza : I was immediately sold when I saw this palette because it contains Coralista, Bella Bamba, and Hoola. Was only $28 as well!!!
Bobbi Brown Party Eye Palette : I bought this because I heard a lot of good things about BB eyeshadows. I like how the packaging is really sleek and professional looking.
SOPI Spark-tacuar! Top Coat : This guy was on my wish list for a while- I have it on my nails already and it's gorgeous! Worth every penny.
Too Faced Caribbean in a Compact - Sun Bunny : Like the Lancome serum, I had a sample of this bronzer for quite a while and I really liked it. Usually, I don't go for shimmery bronzers, but this one looks so natural on my skin.
Then, I got this Boxum set for 500 point perk! ^_^ *YAY*

MAC Paint Pot in Let's Skate : I know that I don't need another shimmery pink, but the name + packaging were too cute to resist.
MAC Make It Perfect Brush Kit : I knew that MAC brush kits had bad reputation, but I picked them up anyway because they were "pretty". I opened the box at home and returned it the next day. They do suck :(.
Chanel VitaLumiere Aqua in B10 (and samples of MatLumiere and PerfectionLumier) : I finally finished my sample (almost had it for 2 months!) of the VitaLumiere, so I thought it was time make a purchase. It's a great light-weight foundation.
Wet 'n' Wild I love Matte Palette : My first Wet 'n' Wild palette ever! I never ever wear bold colors, but this palette make me want to.
Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle : I first saw this tinted lip balm on Jess' blog Don't Call Me Jessie, and I felt like my heart stopped or something. It was perfection!! So I ran out to CVS and bought the last one :).
Sana Hadanomy Collagen Mask : I never saw or heard about this mask before so I thought I would give it a try. It was kind of expensive comparing to the MBD masks, but I thought it might bring better results?! I don't know, maybe, maybe not.

So that was my haul, let me know if you want me to review any of these products, I'm more than happy to do so :). Have a wonderful weekend! xx Amy
