I have been using this powder foundation for about a year now, so I thought I would do a review for you guys. To start off, I have combination skin - pretty much on the dry side except for the t-zone. I use this to set tinted moisturizers or just by itself (over moisturizer) to even out the skin tone. I love this product, because even though it is a powder, it is somewhat hydrating- if that makes any sense :p. It doesn't emphasize any dry patches or acne scars. Coverage is amazing (medium coverage, but build-able, especially if you are using a beauty blender or the sponge that comes with it). Water-proof and stays all day. The color (I'm using 020) matches me perfectly :). Oh and LOVE the packaging. It's super pretty and feels good in my hands.
The only down side is that it can be a little bit cake-y when applied over liquid foundation :(.
This product retails for $48 at sephora.com. It is on the pricey side, but definitely worth it.

P.S. I wanted to send out a huge blog hug to all of my followers and readers.
Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to me. <3
I'm always interested in powder foundations but they don't seem to work for me. The Shiseido one has good ratings though, but too expensive >.<
ReplyDeleteOne day, I will invest in high-end makeup and try this. Thanks for the review!
Oooh! This sounds really good! I love Dior compacts, whether it's blush or powder. Medium coverage is amazing for a compact! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I've never spent more than $20 dollars on makeup simply because I never wear it...but I should invest in a good foundation and this one sounds like it's worth it! I'll check it out next time I'm at Sephora :)

So What If I Like Pretty Things
That's a nice review Ammy.
ReplyDeleteHope to try it soon...actually powder foundation don't suit my skin best...but this sounds good :)
Hey sweetie! Great blog I am now following! I love this powder - I agree with the huge sometimes cakey over foundation but it is great to use instead of foundation on days where you want to keep it natural but want some sort of coverage! x x
ReplyDeleteAhh thanks for sharing! I'm always looking for a good foundation! :)

Do you prefer powder to foundation? I have combo skin too and hate the dry patches. However my skin has gotten more oily recently and am rethinking my foundation.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great!

Thanks Lynnie ^^ I do prefer liquid foundation over powder, but this is kind of in the middle (like I said in the post), so if you are getting more oily I think you should give it a shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review. I have tried to whitening comapct powder by Dior in the past but stopped and switched to a liquid version because it cakes too easily.
