Review : SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, O HUI Cell Power No. 1 Essence / Chizu Saeki

Hi Girls! As promised, I have another skin care product review for you.
I have been using 2 essences (the lotion that you apply after toner and before your ordinary moisturizer) currently, and I'm in love! Although these are fairly expensive, I think skin care is where you should put the money in when it comes to beauty.

1. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence : I have been wanting to try this one for the longest time, because most of my friends and their mother rave about this product and call it the 'holy water'. However, I was very skeptical about it and $155 for 150 ml seemed like a bit too much. I have used their facial masks before (mom's lol), it was good, but thought it was really over priced. One day after school, I went to bloomingdale's (as usual haha) and one of the sales person came up to me and asked if I wanted to try their products. Obviously, I said yes and there I was, at the SK-II counter lol. The lady explained how Pitera, their main ingredient was discovered and did a short demo on my hand. This special ingredient -Pitera is a naturally-occurring liquid from the yeast fementation process, and was discovered by Japanese scientists when they noticed the elderly workers working at a sake brewery had wrinkled faces, but extraordinarily soft and youthful hands. After the demo, I was totally sold. I was surprised at how my hand gotten (extremely) softer in a few seconds.
Using this product for a good 3 months, I can say that I adore this product and will repurchase it again and again. Honestly, it looks like plain water and smells like a semi rotten object, it feels like heaven on my skin. It is so refreshing and cooling and most of all, improved my skin texture. It also helped preventing break outs. Although I hate the price being $150+, the bright side is, you only need a tiny bit every application, so it will last you for a long time.

2. O HUI Cell Power No. 1 Essence : O HUI (a branch from LG, yes the company that makes TVs) is one of my favorite Korean brands for skin care. I know there are some web sites that sell O HUI products, but for this one, I believe you have to actually go to Asian countries to get this, because the Cell Power No. 1 is one of their newer line. Luckily, my bf was traveling (and he was a dear) and got it for me at the duty free shop. This retails for $54-$63 and contains 35ml + refill (total 70ml). Unlike the SK-II one, this has a pleasant scent and looks like a normal essence - a little goopy, light pink color. Whenever I use this, it feels like my skin is deeply hydrated and balanced. As I apply this on my face, the skin instantly soaks in the product like it was really thirsty. I use it 2 times a day (when I'm not using the SK-II essence), 1 pump for each time. It will feel a little bit sticky right after you apply it, but goes back to normal 5 minutes later. Overall, I think this is a really good essence, especially for the people who have dry to normal skin. The only bad thing that I can say about this product is that I think the packaging is too bulky, I wish it was more sleek and sturdy.

Having skin care reviews for today's post, I wanted to share this video that I randomly found. I think this Lady is totally inspirational, because she is still stylish and has beautiful skin when she is nearly 70 years old. I am so trying out this method with both essences :)

Hope this was helpful!
